Axaeco Explorer Belt

Racing Belt, Trekking Belt or Explorer Belt: Which should you choose?

Belts are the perfect way for you to make the most of your dog’s pulling power without risking injury. They are safe and comfortable for you both to use and keep your hands free. Belts are especially useful for dog trekking, canicross and ski-joring.

A proper set up should include:

  • An elastic leash that attaches directly to your belt to protect you from sudden jerks.
  • A comfortable, activity-appropriate harness for your dog.

When it comes to dog sports, the right belt can make all the difference! Our collection includes three specially designed models to suit different needs.

Trekking Belt

4 Season Jogging Leash with Trekking Belt, Harness Power and Carabiner CaniX Belt

Our Trekking Belt is comfortable to wear and perfect for outdoor leisure walks and treks.

Its ergonomic design is inspired by climbing harnesses, and features soft padding and breathable materials for exceptional comfort. It’s quick and easy to put on and take off with a single clip.

The Trekking Belt is intended for light pulling, as the dog’s pulling force is directed to the lower part of your back rather than the gluteal muscles, unlike our other belts.

It is the most adjustable of our three models, fitting waist sizes from 67 to 140cm.

For added safety, the belt is trimmed with 3M™ reflective strips, keeping you visible even in low light or poor weather conditions.

The Trekking Belt features a MOLLE system (MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment), which is a simple and efficient way to attach extra gear and is commonly used in both military and climbing applications. This makes it perfect for use with accessories such as our Pit-stop Bag, First Aid Kit, or any other MOLLE-compatible equipment you already own.

→ Choose this belt if you enjoy short trekking adventures or have a light puller. It’s also ideal for hands-free walks, and perfect if you’re dealing with a hand or arm injury.

Racing Belt

Ski joring with border collies

The Racing Belt is a lightweight professional belt, perfect for training or competing in canicross or skijöring.

It evenly distributes your dog’s pulling force and directs it to your gluteal muscles, helping prevent back soreness. This makes the Racing Belt a great option for dog trekking tool, especially if your dog is a strong puller!

With three-point adjustment (waist and thighs), it offers a highly customizable fit for a wide range of body types. The current model fits waist sizes from 80 to 140cm, and a size S, for youth and slimmer athletes, is coming soon.

The line attaches directly to the ring on the belt using either a knot or a Carabiner Canix Belt. The sliding ring is free to travel from left to right as it follows your dog’s movements, ensuring optimal comfort, even if your dog turns sharply!

The Racing Belt is both lightweight and comfortable thanks to its breathable nylon mesh. The fabric used is water-resistant to provide the best experience in ski-joring and canicross in all weather conditions. It is designed for durability and to withstand the demands of any sport.

For added safety, the belt features 3M™ reflective strips to keep you visible in low light and poor weather.

→ Choose this belt for pulling sports or trekking with a strong puller when you don’t need storage or are already carrying a backpack.

Explorer Belt

The Explorer Belt is perfect for anyone who loves exploring nature with their dog.

It combines the comfort of the Racing Belt with added storage, making it versatile for any level of pulling. The dog’s pulling power is directed across both your lower back and gluteal muscles.

Its integrated storage pockets can hold everything you need with: a handy pocket for poop bags, a small pocket for earphones and a larger pocket which can carry a 500ml bottle.

Like the Racing Belt, the Explorer Belt is highly adjustable thanks to its three point regulation (waist and thighs). It fits waist sizes from 80 to 140cm.

Ergonomic design, padding, water-resistant fabric and extremely breathable materials make the Explorer Belt not only functional for use during sports but comfortable to wear, even on long and tiring treks, no matter what the weather is like!

The line attaches directly to the sliding ring with a knot or a Carabiner Canix Belt.

For added safety, the belt features 3M™ reflective strips to keep you visible in low light and poor weather conditions.

→ Choose this belt for trekking with a strong puller or for long treks where extra storage is useful.

What Should You Look for in a Belt?

  • Durability: A belt should withstand years of use and keep up with all your activities. Strong materials are a must even when trying to keep the belt lightweight.
  • Comfort: The Belt shouldn’t be uncomfortable or painful to wear. It should distribute pressure evenly across your body and stay securely in place.
  • Sizing: A belt should adapt to different body shapes through high adjustability or a range of different sizes.
  • Visibility: Bright colors and reflective strips are a great option for improved safety!
