The 4 Season Dog Coat is designed to keep your dog dry while allowing full range of motion. It’s practical and comfortable for everyday use.

What Should You Look Forward to in a Dog Coat?
- Durability: A dog coat needs strong fabric that can withstand rolling, rubbing against walls, and running through dense woods. It’s also important that all components, such as buckles and velcro, are durable and resistant to wear.
- Ergonomic / Non-restrictive Shape: Dogs should be able to move just as freely as they would without a coat. This is why the 4-Season Dog Coat and Lapland Dog Coat are designed with no fabric over the shoulders, allowing the dog to extend its front legs fully.
In contrast, the Dog Coat Isolation and Raincoat Windbreaker close at the front. They’re extremely lightweight, which helps the coat follow the dog’s movement, but they may be less comfortable for shy or very placid dogs who might struggle to understand that they need to push through the front strap when walking or running. - High Water Column Rating: A good dog coat should be able to withstand heavy rain for the entire duration of a walk. If the coat loses some waterproofness after multiple washes, you can apply a water-repellent treatment to restore it.
- Easy washing: The perfect dog coat should be machine washable.
- Fast drying: Look for a coat made of fast-drying materials and with a convenient loop for hanging.
- Easy storage: Life is easier with coats that include a packing system, especially when it’s integrated into the coat itself, so it can’t get lost.
- Compatible with Harness and Collar: Harness openings on the back of the coat have become increasingly necessary
- Adjustable Fit: Dogs have diverse body shapes depending on their breed, so it’s important to be able to tailor a coat to your dog using multiple adjustment points. The neck, chest strap, back length, and even leg elastics can be adjustable.
